my life is soooooo very boring right now. i feel like i should have something to say, but i really don't. justin is here. he's 24. i remember when he was a punk kid turning 18. oh, those were some crazy times... lots of fun... i kinda miss living with all those guys.

the show was amazing!!! of course i thought it was amazing... it was matt good!! but believe it or not, i do have something negative to say about it... only one acoustic song? seriously? and apparitions? come on, matt!! and also, his mic could have been a bit louder. there, see... i don't think everything he does is unquestionably perfect. but he still did fucking rock!!
the pics are not very good. the first few i took are very blurry cuz i was up at the front and the floor was very bouncy and i also forgot to set the camera for motion. so... they are mostly "ok" pictures. i'm gonna let d play around with them and make them look cooler... i just do the taking and the cropping.
i really wish we could be going to the show again tonight... sigh.

anyways, robyn, kelly and thomas are over here right now. they are all sitting on the couch watching the simpsons. last night was our annual halloweenie thing with the kids. they decorated our apartment, we watched cursed (not very good at all. robyn says the werewolf looked like a chia pet/mutant hamster!!) and they started to carve their pumpkins. they are gonna finish them this morning and we'll show ya the finished product later.

we got our car back today, safe and sound. they had to keep it until today cuz they had some trouble getting all the glass in. because we are "such a great pair", they gave us a 50% deal on our deductible. now, don't go saying that it's general practice to do that, cuz i think we are special and that they really are just that nice at crystal glass on whyte ave. so there!
only 3 more sleeps till matt good!! have i mentioned that i'm excited? what am i going to wear? like i have a lot to choose from. maybe i'll wear my jeans, or... nope, nothing else to choose from. guess it's my jeans. but what shirt? i think i know. but i'm not telling... i'll let the pictures do the talkin'!

i talked to eduardo today!! for those of you who don't know, he was in my tesl course. he is in chile with his wife and kids right now. yay yay yay!!
and d talked to scott yesterday. him and candice moved in together and we got their new address and d said he sounds "much better than he did." yay yay yay!!!
robyn stayed over with us this weekend. (she is my 14 year old cousin). her and i went to see the corpse bride (which wasn't so great), but we had a great time anyways.
d went to a party at mat's house (which was apparently the best thing to ever happen to him). let me tell you about mat. mat is the lead singer of plainsay and one of the greatest, kindest guys i know. i work with him and the band's bassist, andrew. i have also worked with, at one time or another, jonathan (guitar) and tyrn (drums). these guys are great, and i love them. so anyways, this party at mat's was a "talk & jam" meaning that they had mics set up and their instruments plugged in. guess who mat convinced to play AND sing?!?!?! yup, darren. i'm pretty bitter about the whole thing, but also soooooooo very happy that d finally got up in front of people to play.

this is lia (and her doggie). lia is darren's 2nd cousin (i think... his cousin luisa's daughter, anyways). she is 7 and awesome and adorable. i met her when we were visiting in nova scotia and we went for an adventure down a giant hill on a gravel road and took some paths into the woods to see where they led. i had so much fun with her!! i got this email from luisa today...

anyways, enough about matt... being back in school is a hard thing to adjust to. it's not really "school", but i have to go and sit through a day of class and do assignments and read and stuff. i can't believe that a 6 day course is going to give me all that i need to become a teacher in a foreign country. mama, i'm scared!!
so, i get an email from gayle the other day. she called herself a dink, etc. so i write her back a schpeel (i have no idea how to spell that) that was basically like "blah blah blah, i still love you" and crap like that and i end it with "where the hell are you?" so she sends me one of those "answer the questions" emails and she's filled it out and only sent it to me. question 20 asked "who do you miss the most?" and her answer was "my friends in edmonton" and then another question further down was "what are your living arrangements?". gayle lives in virginia. at least now i know where she is and that she's ok and she's talking at me again. big life changes though that i wish i could have been a part of. miss ya, loser!

matthew good is coming!! matthew good is coming!! i am so damn excited. seriously, like way more than ever before. it's his tour for the new album (out sept. 20th!!) which is kinda like a greatest hits collection. it's got a cd of all of his previously released singles, one of acoustically reworked songs and stuff from b-sides, AND a dvd of all the videos. needless to say, i've already ordered a copy!!
well, his name is simon. and that's his daddy, james. james and vicky are so freakin' happy!! it's so awesome. they are a family. it was so great to see them again. vicky wouldn't let me take her picture though. next time, she said.

that was my conversation with sean this morning... we are very mature.
so i'm trying out a new color cuz i am pretty bored with pink. and have you noticed the new font? huh? have ya? well... it's different, i swear.
what else is different? well, i didn't get the supervisor job. basically, i turned it down... after lots of thought and stress, i decided that i don't have any experience working with groups or community partners. and i was told lots of stuff in my interview that i wasn't really clear on before about what else the job would require of me. so... that's what happened. i decided that i would like to get some experience with groups so i am going to be the part-time youthworker for the project and get to do all of the fun stuff with the kids, but not have like any responsibility. and i am able to keep working with the kids i have right now 1:1. i feel better and better about the decision everyday. yay yay yay!!
