the 40-year old virgin is possibly THE funniest movie i have ever seen!! i can't tell you about it, because i think i missed a lot of stuff because i was laughing so hard and so very loud. so so so funny. we also watched anchorman today. we got the dvd from columbia house and my god, that is a ridiculously funny show. if anyone wants to borrow it, you let me know!!
so i called gayle yesterday to let her know that the family we stayed with in scotland is going to be in town this week. my call couldn't be connected as dialed. what the fuck. (sorry granny!) so then i called her at work. the voicemail at her extention was still her voice, so i left her a message (if she is even really still there). i thought i was sad about this whole deal with gayle, but i discovered yesterday when i was talking about it that i am really pissed off. mostly because i feel like i didn't really matter to her. i just want to know what the hell is going on inside her head. that's all. not too much to ask. i don't even know where she is.
i love the east coast. i love it, i love it, i love it. the air is different, the stores are kinda the same (i got laughed at though when i asked for a safeway bag... "oh, isn't she so sweet? we can get ya a sobey's bag, will that do?" ha ha, pick on the girl from the west. poor little thing :)
d's family (families?) are awesome. i felt right at home. as it turns out, d's family is just as crazy as mine when they get together (maybe even a bit more, but only because they don't see each other as often).

sorry for the long absence... lots of thinkin' time lately.
we are off to nova scotia on saturday, but we are driving to calgary tomorrow. scott is there (somewhere!!) and that's where we takeoff from. no one has talked to scott for like at least a month. he only has a pay-as-you-go cell phone that doesn't always have minutes on it. and now... his voicemail is full so we can't even leave him a message!! and... he's working nights but we don't know the hours. and we don't know if he even remembers that we are going or if he took time off!!! so when (and if) we see him, i get to kick him in the ass... TWICE... once for their mom and once for me. so that's an upside!!

i know, i know. it's been like a month since we've posted anything. so, to the 2 people who read this blog... sorry, but nothing much has been going on.
me and my lovely cousin robyn went to see good charlotte on sunday, the 17th. it was her first concert ever!! she was so excited while we waited in line, yapping the whole time about nothing. she's so awesome. she got a bit tired during the opening band and i was worried she wasn't having a good time. i was sooooo wrong. when good charlotte was on, she was bouncin' and singin' and cheerin'... it was great!!
i had my interview today for the "youth project coordinator". i think it went ok. it was hard to prepare though. they already know what i do, so i wasn't sure what was going to go on. so basically, i didn't really prepare at all. i was asked to tell "my story", how and why chrissy is where she is today. and they also asked me explain how i do my job and what "gifts" i leave my clients with. blah, blah, blah... in the end, they told me that i need to do some work on being able to articulate what it is that i do and how i go about doing it. both pauline and eileen gave me huge compliments... they told me that i do "tremendous work" and that i need to look back over my past clients and give myself more credit for their successes, because without me, the change couldn't have happened. huge compliments...
tomorrow is our anniversary... one whole year... i know, crazy!!
anyways, see how boring things are??? maybe more fun and funniness soon... i hope.

so melanie finally had her very first birthday party last nite. first party, first cake, first anything. it was awesome!! she'll be 24 early in july, but out of town, so the party had to be last nite. what about girls? well, let me tell ya!! first of all, mike will be having a baby girl in october. second, my cousin lisa is currently on a road trip to san francisco and i am so totally thrilled for her!! third, my friend melanie just got promoted and is so very happy about it and i am so very happy for her!!! (mel also just got a haircut and looks fabulous!!).

car update... it's in the shop right now getting tuned up and cleaned out and having the tires rotated and alligned and just getting some long overdue attention. i just hope that they can find the cause of the "rain" problem. since it's not rainy today it might be just a guess.
i've fallen a bit off of the wagon... i ate lots of crap this weekend. it's hard to start eating healthy again. but i decided yesterday that bread and it's buddies are no friends of mine. bye bye to most carbs!!
I guess I had better write something since it is the SEEDY life (though C pretty much keeps you all up to date on everything). once again, it rained over night and once again, the car won't start. it is driving me crazy!! **how can it drive me crazy when it can't drive anywhere?** "well take it in and get it fixed." we would, except for one problem... $$$. we are working very hard to get back to even with everything but we're not quite there yet. i'd say one more month or so. until then, we just have to mind the forecast, i guess.
and the timing of it is always shitty... like this morning, i was up and ready to go to the gym. nothing kills motivation like a car that won't start.
so, again, i say aaaarrrrrrggggggg!!!
