sometimes i think that i am a giant weakling. but then sometimes i think that i can do anything. sometimes things are really really hard and i want to give up. and sometimes stuff just comes so easily. sometimes i'm totally bored. sometimes i have way too much to do with hardly enough time to do it. sometimes i have no idea what i want out of life. but today, i'm totally sure.

~ talk to lisa about yoga

the goods

~ japan : still feels like a dream. i miss it terribly a lot of the time. someone asked me recently if we'll ever go back. probably not is what i said, and it made me really sad. but life has to go on, right?

~ jobs : d is finally working somewhere that is recognizing and rewarding his work. in 3 months, he's doubled his wage and been put in charge. and i think he actually enjoys working there. weird. and i love my job. nothing new there, but what is new is that i am constantly surrounded by people at the school who actually see the work i'm doing and support and encourage me in it.

~ friends : reconnected with the wonderful ones. ousted the selfish ones.

~ family : lived with my parents for a bit while we looked for a place. i am so lucky to have them. d's mom and aunt came to visit in october. i'm also lucky to have them. scott and candice, lisa and andrew, sean and chelsea... amazingness coupled. jennifer and aidan get stuck in the family category too. awwwwwwww!!!

2008 will hopefully bring about much of the same. stick travelling and healthiness and adventure in there and it'll be the best yet!!!

i do, of course have resolutions. i'm sure everyone does. i heard on the news that only 20% of people keep them past february. the most important one i have i think is planning for the future. next comes healthiness, patience, and keeping up on keeping in touch.

so i may be the biggest idiot on the face of the planet. why this time? well you see, yesterday after working at the store, i was on my way to entrance 50. jennifer was picking me up and we were going to her place to make butter chicken. i was a few minutes late so i was walking swiftly. i see a dude walking around followed by another dude with a camera. "oh my god. that is totally pauly shore!!" i say in my head. then, oh wow, then... pauly shore grabbed my hand and asked me to walk around the mall with him. I KNOW!!! what did i do? i said "i'm sorry, but i have to go." IDIOT!!

i'm changing font colors again. back to green. ish.

oh my god i totally made that and it was delicious. i had to pound the chicken and everything. it's ok to think i'm amazing.

boiled eggs and jam on toast for breakfast. grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch. i should just have liver and onions for supper and complete the trifecta. capital f i'm old.

so today i am tired. and fat. since the beginning of september i have only gone running once. i suck. today is a shitty day. and why do teenage girls find it necessary to slam each others heads into the cement? why do they feel the need to talk about each other and call each other sluts? and i have one girl who starts rumors about herself. what else is there to say about you when you've already said it all yourself, right?

matt good was fantastic. tegan and sara were freaking unbelievable. the shaolin warriors were beautiful and inspiring. good week. bad day.

ouch. and yuck. that is all.

so we were at the oodle noodle box for lunch today and a homeless guy comes in with $1 and orders rice. the dude behind the counter tells the back kitchen the order and says "and make it really full." which i thought was amazing. then, a customer gets up from his table and goes to the guy and says "do you want something more for lunch?" and orders him a wonton soup, pays for it and goes and sits back down. then the dude working there says "and do you want a drink? here's an orange juice."

so there is still some humanity left in this city.

I'M TIRED AND THE HOUSE NEEDS TO BE CLEANED AND I DON'T WANT TO DO IT AND WE GOT SOME NEW CLOTHES AND I AM ADDICTED TO THE FOOD NETWORK AND I LOVE THE NEW SAVE-ON ON ELLERSLIE AND D'S MOM IS COMING TO VISIT IN A MONTH AND I'M A BIG NERD AND I LEARNED HOW TO PLAY TEXAS HOLD 'EM AND I THINK IT SHOULD BE TEXAS HOLD THEM BECAUSE 'EM IS NOT A PROPER CONTRACTION AND I REALLY MISS JAPAN AND CRIED ABOUT IT THIS MORNING AND THAT'S ALL FOR NOW.
