melanie = one of the toughest chicks i know

ok. so. last week was tough. melanie found out that she has grade 2 cervical cancer. this is her post about it. when she first told me, she wasn't really sure how serious it was. she doesn't have a tumor, all it is is some cancerous cells located in one specific area. she will have to have an operation to remove the infected tissue and hopefully that will be all. she's gone through so much in her life and even when cancer is thrown into her path she holds her head up and keeps going.
