wtf dudes?!?!?

seriously though, wtf? do you still read this? no one comments anymore. it hurts my feelings. not a single thing to say about me being dressed like a baseball and singing terribly? i don't believe you.

is it because we're coming home and you no longer think japan is cool? because, yes, we are coming home, but japan is still awesome. we still love it here. we are still happy and having a great time.

here is a little something that d made in his spare time.
it's based on a ridiculous conversation we had a little while ago. he's very talented and very funny.

uncle scott sent me an email that made me laugh very loudly. it contained possible overheard conversations we had before we left for japan. i read it out loud to d... twice.

alright. nothing to say. chrissy out.

and also...

more crazy pictures on flickr...

karaoke

friday night karaoke.chrissy plus gin equals a singing machine... not a very good one, but still.and here's a video for ya. we had to cut some of the end off because everytime guy discovers he's being video-ed, he starts swearing in the most disgusting way i have ever heard. and when we cut stuff, the sound quality goes down. and no, this isn't a disclaimer for how bad i sound...

i'm so glad...

...that we didn't have to wait the month or so that the rest of the world waited to see the next chapter of heroes. yes, it was a necessary story transition, and i did like where claire starts to reshoot her "attempts", and hiro... well, i love that guy.there's a teacher at my school named nakamura and everytime someone says it, in my head i hear "my name is hiro nakamura. i'm from the future." oh relax. you all already know that i am a huge geek. anyways, i had hoped there would be more. now we have to wait a whole week along with everyone else in the western world. le sigh.

darren has a sore knee for some reason. we call it the 31. "how's your 31 today?" or "ow! my 31!" and so on...

i bought a toy from a vending machine last weekend. it's the sweetest thing ever. it's not really a toy. it's more like a figurine. i had to put it together all by myself. i want the whole set. yes, yes... i'm dirty.
we decided that i should repierce my lip when we get home. yessssssssssssss!!

darren wants me to tell you that he is the master of chicken. i have to agree. i refuse however to call him the chicken master. first it was uncle flapjack, now this...

matt good will start recording right away. sigh. happy happy sigh.

a quick one

while d's in the shower, i thought i'd give you some tidbits about the last couple of days.

~ i taught the special ed class at school on thursday. (the teachers call it the handicapped class and it sounds so wrong...) anyways, the lowest functioning girl ran up to the board, drew something, hugged me, and then sat back down. and while we were playing a game, the highest functioning girl snuck away, took a handful of magnets and shoved them in her mouth.

~ we watched employee of the month and crank last night. employee of the month was terrible. only one funny thing. really. no, ok. 2 funny things. one of them is when dane cook is talking to his grandma. he says that maybe she shouldn't rely on lottery tickets for money and she says do you think i should be taking financial advice from you and he walks away and says "score one grandma." why did i watch a movie with jessica simpson in it? because it also had dane cook. and he said "taint" and that always makes me laugh. and jessica simpson said "holy shit!" i liked that too. crank is messed up. it has the guy whose name i always forget. darren always remembers it so i told him to just call him turk
from now on because i will never remember his name even though he is one of my favorite actors.

~ twice this week teachers were talking to me in japanese and i completely understood what they were asking and answered them. i knew the neo thing would kick in sooner or later.

~ shannon's gr. 1 class emailed me a list of questions about japan. well, they emailed me and flat stanley...
that's all. we're going to shimokitazawa today. bohemian hippie ville. later skaters.

same same same

same.

i have "let it be" in my head.

i went to sleep at 8:50pm yesterday. darren woke up at 3something and then like 5 seconds later, he felt an earthquake. apparently it rattled the windows. i was sad that i missed it. and i think darren might be a dog...

i talked to j today. she has been sounding great in her emails and she sounds even better in real life.

did you know that return flights are cheaper than one ways?

tv shows we watch:
~ bones
~ heroes
~ lost
~ studio 60 on the sunset strip

update

i hate the title of "update". it's unimaginative but that's how i feel right now so that's what you get. i bought some sweet kicks. they are grape and lime vans. definitely NOT sour apple. the box says they are "high skool".
speaking of skool... i started at a new one. biggest one in the city. the kids are sweet (some of them are even funny...)

hmmmmmmmmmmm...

went out to eat last night. some of us may have also gone out to drink. i love eating in japan. you don't just order one thing. you order lots and lots of little things. and you share with everyone. i like to share. i also like being shared with...

i'm sure everyone knows this already... we are moving back in april. many factors and much thought went into this decision. i sometimes feel like people think we haven't made the most of this or that we are giving up.

john came back from australia. he brought us back beer cozies. they have australian slang on them. mine is for the aussie sheila. it taught me what a pommy shower is. any guesses?

time for tv. we're watching angel again. it's even better the second time around...

merry new year!!

so, for new year's 2006 i posted pictures from 2005. i can't do that this year. didn't bring enough pictures from 2006 with us. sorry. no year in review for you.

new year's eve was very very quiet. during the day we went into tokyo, harajuku to be specific. visited the meiji jingu shrine...
walked down takeshita dori...and then walked some more. we had dinner at our place (sushi, gyoza, etc.)... dad ate sushi.I KNOW!! the parents were back at their hotel by 9:30pm and crashed by 11pm.

new year's day in japan is very busy. not much is open, but everyone (well, maybe not everyone) goes to visit a shrine or a temple.
trains were busy.

today we adventure to mt. fuji.
